1 Prepare the work surface and gather materials.
2 Pull the cotton stockinette over the foot, allowing for a seam allowance.
3 Add a heel lift and place the rubber strip (cutting guide) on top, securing it with tape.
4Plastering:
Start at the toes, offset the wrap by half its width / smooth with water.
5 Draw markings / let the plaster set for a few minutes.
6 carefully open the plaster with a scalpel or another tool.
7 Close the plaster using water and additional plaster (pay attention to the markings). The plaster mold is dried overnight.
SKIN CARE
After plastering, the patient is advised to thoroughly wash and moisturize the foot. Plastic wrap can also be placed underneath, but it tends to be slippery during the plastering process.
